JW Andrew is an artist and visual storyteller best known for his unique, rich, multi-layered, photo-based digital montages. He uses state-of-the-art digital techniques to convey raw emotions and feelings in a hand-made, grungy, dirty aesthetic.

After studying Textile Design in Scotland and London (Central St. Martins) and moving to Italy, his unique style developed over many years of experimentation using traditional and digital techniques. His style could best be defined as an acceptance of mistakes. He embraces elements such as scratches, dust, blur, and movement.

His main themes could be summed up in the phrase, “The future is not like it used to be!” Meanwhile, he observes the disruption of society and family identity as an amused bystander. He’s a “small print guy.” Major world events don’t inspire him; instead, it’s the quirky, weird, intriguing details of seemingly banal daily life that spark his unique project ideas.
